PATHWAYS YOUTH PROGRAM

The WAZ Pathways program was inspired by other wrestling based Youth outreach programs from around the world including "Beat The Streets" (BTS), Beat Our Streets Singapore (BOSS) and Beat Aussie Streets Every Day (BASED).

The program uses the sport of wrestling as a vehicle to help at risk youth develop better solutions to some of the root causes of poor life outcomes.

The Pathways program focuses on 4 key areas;

• HIV and Health.

• Drugs and alcohol.

• Gangs/Negative social behaviors.

• Life choices and future pathways.

The program is run over the span of a school term and helps establish a community of young people through the sport of wrestling. WAZ coaches and NWS members help support schools and community groups to set up and run these programs as needed!
